The Most Exclusive Club in Professional Football
Membership is not appointed. It is not awarded. It is earned on the field, one quarterback takedown at a time, over careers defined by relentless pursuit and a refusal to be denied.
Who We Are
The 100 Sack Club stands as the most exclusive fraternity in the history of the National Football League, reserved for those rare pass rushers who reached the singular milestone of 100 or more official career sacks. Every decision, every direction, and every initiative flows from the men who paid the price to be here.
This club belongs to its members. No executive voted them in. No committee approved their application. The field decided.
The 100 Sack Club was formed to honor the achievement, preserve the legacy, and create meaningful opportunities for the men who redefined what a pass rusher could be. The meetings, the jackets, the partnerships — all of it serves one purpose: to give this milestone the recognition it has always deserved.
Built and driven by Members of the 100 — men who earned the right to be here — the club carries the authority of those who paid the price on the field.
The Foundation
No name is more central to the identity of this club than David "Deacon" Jones. A Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end and cornerstone of the Los Angeles Rams' feared "Fearsome Foursome," Deacon Jones did not merely play the position — he defined it.
Jones is the man who coined the term "sack," recognizing that the act of bringing down the quarterback behind the line of scrimmage was the most devastating and demoralizing play in football. The language of the game changed because of him. The NFL itself named the annual sack leader award in his honor. Every member of this club plays in a tradition Deacon Jones named.
It was entirely fitting, therefore, that the inaugural 100 Sack Club jacket was presented to the family of Deacon Jones at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction weekend in 2024 — a formal 100 Sack Club event marking the occasion with the recognition it deserved. His legacy is not background context for this club. It is the ground the club stands on.
Membership Distinction
The 100 Sack Club jacket is the mark of membership. Crafted in partnership with Knot Standard, each jacket is custom-tailored to the man wearing it and bears the 100 Sack Club emblem on the breast pocket. The official colorway is black wool with gold buttons — a deliberate choice that reflects the weight of the achievement it represents.
No one wears this jacket by invitation or association. Every man who wears it earned it. The inaugural jacket was presented to the family of Deacon Jones at the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction weekend in Canton, Ohio, in 2024 — a 100 Sack Club event honoring the man who coined the word "sack" and gave this club its name, its language, and its standard.
The Brotherhood
The following players have reached 100 or more official career sacks since the NFL began tracking the statistic in 1982. Hall of Fame members are noted. Sack totals are official NFL records.
